“My name is Maggie and I am a film addict…”
My family didn’t own a television until I was 9 years old, and visits to the movie theater were fairly infrequent. Still, the few movies I saw up till that day we got a TV were imprinted in my life and helped to form me in many ways. And once we did have a TV, I raced home every afternoon after school to see the vintage films that showed at 3:00 pm every day – Bette Davis, Gregory Peck, Spencer and Hepburn Bogie and Bacall, Irene Dunne and Cary Grant…the list just goes on. So, naturally, I joined the masses of film addicts, poor souls who can’t tear themselves away from a film once it starts. And I developed the desire not only to see them but to make them. I also have a long list of “bucket list” films that just keeps growing, and I vow to see every one of them. I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to share, and will share your thoughts as well!
